Welcome to Episode 12 of the Voices Of Boyle Podcast!

We are delighted to be joined by Triona Mullaney Dignam for this episode of the podcast. Triona is a local expert on the history of Rockingham house. A few years ago she wrote a book on the subject called: “Rockingham: A Little Guide To The Big House”.

She has generously agreed to join me to share her insights and knowledge on this iconic landmark.

Rockingham House has a rich and complex history over the centuries. Triona will be exploring the origins of Rockingham House and discussing some of the challenges and conflicts that arose during its planning and construction. She will also be sharing some of the family feuds that played a role in its history, adding another layer to the story of Rockingham House.

Even if you are not familiar with Rockingham House, Triona will do her best to provide a comprehensive and easy-to-understand overview of its history.

I hope that you will enjoy this episode and come away with a greater appreciation for Rockingham House and its significance to our town of Boyle.

BE A GUEST ON THE SHOW!

If you’ve a story about Boyle, we’d love to hear it. You don’t need to have done anything remarkable, and you don’t need to prepare a thing. We sit down, have a chat, and you talk about whatever you want to. It usually takes about an hour.

Thinking of someone else? A parent, a grandparent, a neighbour who remembers how it used to be? Tell us about them. Some of our best episodes started because a son or daughter got in touch. You can find us at [email protected].
